Program Objective

APT’s advocacy program empowers youth in Afghanistan with the knowledge and tools to engage in policy discussions. We organize policy advocacy sessions for youth, equipping them with the skills to engage in writing policy briefs and empower them to express their perspectives and concerns regarding human rights issues in Afghanistan.

By amplifying these voices, we make sure that the experiences and challenges faced by youth, particularly girls and women, reach wider audiences and global stakeholders. This also creates connections between youth in Afghanistan and the global community, fostering engagement, awareness, and advocacy.

Program Activities

APT’s advocacy program engages youth in meaningful policy discussions through activities designed to strengthen their skills and amplify their voices. We organize advocacy workshops where participants develop skills in analyzing human rights issues, assessing campaigns, conducting research and data collection, creating action plans, engaging stakeholders, and drafting policy briefs.

As part of this program, youth participants will also be divided into groups to research and write policy briefs, allowing them to share their perspectives and recommendations on critical issues.

APT publishes and shares their written policy briefs to make sure their voices are heard by influential stakeholders. Through these efforts, youth in Afghanistan can raise awareness, promote their rights, and contribute to broader policy discussions that drive meaningful change.
